I have a freind in Rl who has one of the strongest mages in our relm (drak Thul) he's undead too....and he focused all on fire....it WILL GANK people...he's delt over 3.5k to players befor and his record was 10k damage (ok so it was on a mob that takes more damage from fire but STILL).... either way... mages are fun and can and will deal out the hurt....I would focus on fire but if you ever decided that you want to change then you can spend the $$ to "Unlearn your talents" wich will give you all your talent points back and you can do it again...(it gets spendier each time i got a freind who has done it 15 times and it costs him 50g a time now) |

I love these the best questions but here goes nothing
Allience
Gnome mage: got a nice racial to get out of movement impared stuf nice for PVP and PVE small size so harder to target in PVP, everyone hates Gnomes so get ready to be ganked
Human mage: nothing special
Drenai mage: GReat self heal, it heals a little but for mage its all they need, nice aura but only party members can use it (u cant). But the heal is waha makes drenai SOOOO GOOD
Horde
Undead: WOTF and WOTF yeah its that good, gets u out of fear and charm and makes u immune to it for 5 sec great against warlock as they ared ur #1 enemy. Canibalize is useless as u can make food.
Troll: i hear good in PVE but never seen a good troll mage
Blood elf: mana tap and silence is not that great as the mana back is minor and u already got counter spell another silence is useless + u wanna be FAR from ur enemy and not at 8 yrds.
Conclusion: Drenai mage for Allience and Undead for Horde
Now moving on to types ............... U CAN ALWAYS RESPEC so chose any talents u want u can always pay some gold and rechoose all ur talent points. (race cannot be rechosen)
3.World of Warcraft mage talents?I know that mage is a lot stronger than a warlock. My question is that wat talent trees do i need to build to become a awesome DPS killer, less mana taker, and does intense damage and doesnt get hurt a lot. And also tell me, did i make a good choice of a mage race? A Gnome? PLease help and thanks |

Ok, to start off with, mage is only stronger than Warlock in certain specific ways. Warlock pets give the Warlock substantial firepower or their very own tank, and they rule the caster DPS race.
Mages are naturally nukes (possibly the best nukes in the game) and don't do DPS damage spectacularly. At high levels they don't have a lot of instant casts, but rather, high-damage spells that take a few seconds to get off.
As for your questions, DPS and intense damage (nuking) are usually pretty mutually exclusive. The best at each tend to not do the other well (i.e. Rouges are DPS, Warriors are nukes, neither does the other role well.) Build for one or the other, not both.
In PVP and PVE, the best way to avoid taking damage is to avoid attracting attention, but as far as talents go, many ice spells have slow or daze as part of the spell, if your opponent can't reach you they can't hurt you. Remember, nuke damage pulls agro like crazy, so get into a good working relationship with your tank. As far as PVP goes, be careful, mages are natural targets because you are both dangerous and vulnerable.
All the talent trees for mages have talents that reduce the cost of certain specific spells. Just choose a branch you like and stick with it, only put a few picks into the other branches or you won't be able to get the really good stuff at high levels of specialty.
As for race, gnomes are really good mages. You bonus to intelligence gives you more MP to work with, your race power is very useful (although significantly weaker than it used to be) and your small size makes you harder to target in PVP. Good choice!

4.World of warcraft lvling mage?
hey everyone i have a question, i'm a lvl 45 undead mage and i wanted to know if there is a quicker way to lvl up faster besides quests and grinding, and if thats the only way then tell me some good areas to lvl?

Quests, instances and grinding are pretty much the way to go. 45-50 is kinda a slow leveling time. I reccomend do all the ZF and Maradon quests, and maybe a few of the beginning Un'Goro ones. Good luck!
5.Which do you think would be more beneficial in the PvE environment?! Which would be better for solo play? Would a hybrid fire/frost be a good idea?

Both of the elemental trees are stronger than the arcane tree, at least at the moment, so both of those paths are handy. (Mind you, arcane has some really nice stuff, just not enough to specialize in it.)
Fire is, for the most part, massive damage. It's a lot harder to solo with it, because there's not as much in terms of slowing spells - you'll either be using mana shield a lot (which will increase your down time, drinking between fights), or end up casting ice any way (such as frost nova, then back off for a fireball.) If you get into dungeons or raiding, you'll be able to unload a lot of damage, but you run the risk of pulling a *lot* of aggro. Fire mages are generally the first to get eaten. Likewise, as others have pointed out, there's a lot of critters in the high-end dungeons (BWL, MC) that have fire resist to some extent.
Frost doesn't output as much damage, but darned near everything in it carries a slowing effect. You'll still want to use arcane or fire for some of the fast-damage, but it makes it *really* easy to solo. Improved frost nova and improved blizzard means you can farm mobs a camp at a time. In a raid, you'll probably pull less aggro - but you start getting into a case where high-end stuff tends to be immune to slow, and the undead-types (especially leading towards Naxx) tend to be higher on the frost resist.
A frost/fire hybrid, IMO, sounds pretty good - you'll be a powerhouse, pretty much. I agree with the suggestion to check out the WoW forums for mages, and just play with the talent calculator a bit - figure out what sounds good, and how you can play with the build to get it.
