World of Warcraft : WoW - Please Help! My Mods aren't working...?

I installed a few Mods and they aren't working. I installed them, unzipped them into World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons/ , and went on the game and didnt see ADDONS on the Character Selection Screen. One of my mods are 1151310358TrackBar2.0 and it says to type /tbar to open but it doesn't...neither does my other 2 Mods work... I have no idea on what else to do...Can someone please help me! :( P.S. I'm looking for a Mod that gives you the information about each item (deatailed info like: how much it sells for to vendors, and things like that) but i cant find one...or any other Mods that work...and i made sure these Mods are compatible with Burning Crusade too...

Addons are usually pretty easy to figure out for WoW once you figure out the trick to them.

99% of the time, when you download an addon it will be in a .zip or a .rar file, and you will need to extract them.

I typically extract the root folder directly to my WoW/Interface/Addons folder.

You need to make sure that you are actually brining the whole folder with, not just the files.

From there, you will need to restart WoW. Close the game, and open it back up. In the bottom left hand corner of the Charector Selection screen, there will be an "Addons" button.

Click that button, and it will be a list of addons. Make sure the addon that you installed is on the list, and that it is enabled. Some times after major patch days, you will need to click on "Enable out of Date addons"

Then go ahead and Enter the world, and you should have your addons available for use.

Make sure you followed my steps, and also make sure that you have out of date addons enabled. It should correct your problem.

World of warcraft. eveyrtime i try to put a addon in the addons folder it says?

cannot create or replace gatherer:Access is denied
make sure disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use.

The addons name is Gatherer. Can anybody help me please

The reason you¡¯re getting this error is because some program is accessing Gatherer while you¡¯re trying to update it.
For example, open up any program (such as a video clip) and try to delete it while it is playing.
Heck even open up a music file and try to modify the name while it¡¯s playing.. Same error

What you have to do is close WoW and then try to replace the addon. If you still get the same error, you would have to restart your computer and try again. If this doesn¡¯t fix it, you probably need to boot windows in safe mode in order to delete the files.

World of Warcraft disconnect?

Problem: I log into warcraft and about 5-10 minutes later i get disconnected. It seems to be sorta random. I played just fine for a few months prior.
I think I caused the problem by running XPSmoker to "optimize" my network connection. (bad idea) but i reset everythink i could to default settings and it still doesnt work. I removed all addons thinking that might cause a problem...nope. I did everything that the support page suggested ie checksum offloading and all that...nope.
I have a feeling that there is a registry entry somewhere that is wrong...but i do not know where to look exactly. Other that warcraft everything works good connection wise (tracert comes back normal)
Any ideas?????

You should check the support forums. There has been a ton of random disconnects with the exp. pack being out. It can be anything from your graphics card, over heating in your pc ( a good cleaning should help that), to even where you live. I was having issues on certain instances where it disconnected me. Also I've had to get a new video card because all I was getting was sound then a fatal error and then I was disconnected. I hope you get things fixed. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board....

A stack overflow means too much information was placed on the stack, causing it to overflow. Usually this happens because too many functions are called and the call stack gets huge. Or maybe you put a variable on the stack that's too big to fit. Try messing with your memory management, or reducing call stack footprint to avoid this problem.

World of Warcraft Titan Bar?

I have been using the Titan Bar addon until they upgraded with the new patch. Now, it says all of the Titan Bar addons are incompatible. Is there an updated version of Titan Bar that is compatible with WoW 2.0.1?

You may want to check whichever site you use to obtain addons

They may be hard to get to for a few days but they should have the updated Titan bars there.

World or warcraft....?

i downloaded an addon for auctioneer which alows you to scan.it came as a zip file so i extracted files to c:programfiles/worldofwarcraft... but it has not worked is there an easier place to download it?or what am i doing wrong please help.....

Okay, I use addons all the time. Auctioneer is a very popular addon tool.

- Extract the zip file in the same directory the zip file is kept.

- Go into the extracted folder, there should be a folder named Auctioneer, or something like it. Select it and press Ctrl+X

- Navigate to C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface. Look to see if there is a folder in there named "Addons". If so, go into it and press Ctrl+V. If the folder doesn't exist, create one, and then go inside and press Ctrl+V.

Next time you start the game, the addon will load and you'll be ready to go.
