1.World of Warcraft PvP question: Why do you gank?
I am a level 43 blood elf hunter and may I just say that many a time I have wanted to

throw my computer out the window while I was questing in STV during my lvl 30's. I cannot

begin to count how many times some lvl 70 would not only gank me, but then proceed to camp

my body AND the graveyard.

Why do you do it? You don't get any honor points and is it really that fun killing some

one 40 levels lower than you?

I can understand the "drive-by" gankings (when you happen across a lowbie and you cannot

help yourself), but to go out of your way to chase them down and then camp...why?

Do I gank? Yes, I am guilty of smoke-checking the random allie, but it is a kill and run,

and I always enjoy a more heated battle with someone of similar level.

Anyways...the question of the day (^_^)/

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Well the vast majority of those who do it are either, terrible at pvp, getting revenge for

getting ganked when they were low level, and or trying to lure other high levels by

killing you. And there is always the asshole who gets kicks out of having you waste your

time
2.World of warcraft pvp question?
My boyfriend plays this game a lot and said the other day that he hosts a pvp group

daily...what does this mean...and in order to do that did he have to play ALOT to get to

that status...I think he plays way too much and I'm curious
Also is there a new one coming out soon?! I really really hope not! (sorry)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

well..first of all..pvp=player vs player
when he say he's hosting a grp, meaning he teams up with either players from other

countries but from the same server or with his frens/guildies to join a battleground to

KILL opposing players.

anyway, he is right about needing to maintain his status and get to the rank he wants. in

WOW, the highest rank is rank 14. which is most likely, i think ur bf is wanting to get.

in order to get to rank 14, u need to play A LOT. yes..and i mean A LOT. with the cross

server battleground system, its some how easier to get into battlegrounds. last time, when

this was not launched yet, ppl like me, we had to queue and sometimes wait for a very long

time simply because there is no opposing player q-ing to fight with us.

anyway back to the point, i spent literally 5 months to get to the highest rank. its

really tough. my gf nearly ran away with another guy because of it. i hope u can

understand him. well..we, guys love games juz like how you gals love japanese drama...make

ups...you know, gal stuff etc. so i hope u can give him a chance to let him do wat he

wants 1st. and trust me after he gets to the rank he wants, he will get sick of it ( like

me ) and spent all his time with you.

3.World of Warcraft PvP Grind?
In the expansion coming up, how will the pvp system work?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

There's going to be at least 5 battlegrounds (the current 3, the arena, and a new one they

just announced), along with world PvP. Killing people or completing PvP quests will earn

you honor points, winning a BG will give you honor and tokens (like they do now).

There's 3 main differences:
1) The ranking system will be disabled. People will keep their current rank, but won't

gain/lose rank (until it gets readded later.)
2) Honor points won't decay.
3) PvP gear will now be bought by turning in tokens and honor points. This will allow a

casual PvPer to save up for, say, the Grand Marshal's longsword without having to run the

current PvP rank grind.
4. World of warcraft pvp server advice please?
I have decided that i want a character on a pvp server because pve ones are boring.

Anyways, i am all about pvp, battlegrounds, and ganking people. should i make a rogue or a

shadow priest? which is just better for those things? also, if you say shadow priest,

remember.. im not gonna be just healing in groups cause i hate that.. thank you

Well, that depends on your "nuisance style". Do you want to make the player quake in fear

and then proceed to destroy their character? Or do you want to wipe them out before they

even know what has happened...while wondering when you will strike again?

If you want to make them afraid, be a shadow priest. Play with them a little bit instead

of just outright killing them. Then when you are bored, let them slowly die.

If you want to make them fear the area...be a rogue. Hit em hard and from behind (rogues

do it from behind, LOL!) and then vanish once they fall. They won't know if you are still

around or not. They'll be afraid to keep hunting there.

Like I said...it depends on your nuisance style, hehe.
5.World of Warcraft. PVE vs PVP? (realm type)?
****READ THIS****
I know what the actual differences are between the two realm type. My question is more

about what, if any, differences there are in the general population of the two server

types.

[*]more/less mature players
[*]guilds more/less focused on raiding
[*]more/less experienced players
[*]better/worse economy for making money with professions
[*]easier/harder to find PUG's for instances
[*]any other difference you think you may have noticed

Now I know with all of the above mentioned things, there will certainly be
other factors that effect it, such as realm population, realm age, and what not.

So my question is if realm type tends to factor into any of these things
(or any I didn¡¯t think of), and how so.

FYI: I started on a PVP realm because i liked the idea, but it seems to me, that most of

my world PVP encounters, involve someone at ?? lvl to me strolling by and ganking me.

So i think I want to go PVE, but I know if i do I can never xfer my main back to PVP

I just want to be clear that when I say ganked, I mean that I am grey to the ganker. I

wouldnt mind if that happend accasionally. But when 95% of the time an allie picks a fight

with me, its way higher lvl, meaning that they are not getting any honor from killing me.

If it was even only 50% of the fights allies pick with me, it wouldnt bother me so much.

And as far as revenge, goes, I wouldnt find it fun to gank low lvls for no honor. To me

the WHOLE POINT of PVP, is to have a real fight. If i dont have to try -- its not fun.

Although I may stick around the PVP just so when i hit 70 I can go antagonize the allies

who stand around cities and one shot lowbies.

If I were you i would stick it out in the PvP server. Trust me, it may be tougher to level

up but in the end it is well worth it. In a PvE server once you have already done all the

new instances and got the best items there is nothing left to do. In PvP however you can

always go and gank others for revenge. I have a druid on a PvP and shaman on a PvE and

once i got my shaman to 60, I never went back to him again. And another plus is that most

PvP servers have more players which allows group finding to be much easier. Just hang in

there and it will al pay off eventually.
